I have just booked the Sky box office pay per view for the boxing and gone online for a free bets offer to use on Mayweather to win. Its not the cheapest fight I have bought but it is certainly one of the most I have ever looked forward to and I just wish they had done it earlier when the were both at their peak.
Pacquiao I think would have come close at his very best but now I think Mayweather has aged slightly better and I think he will be giving the Philippino a bit of a pasting. Both are legends of the boxing world and this fight has been eagerly anticipated for many years, the only thing keeping this from happening seems to be one or both reluctance to risk it all.
Bigger pay day than my free bets will net me
The huge payday for both fighters at the back end of their careers must be the driver for them as if it were to answer any questions from the boxing world then surely the would have done it when they were both at their peak in terms of physical condition.
At 37 and still undefeated Mayweather may retire after this one. With 47 wins and 26 by way of knock out it would be a great way to go out of the sport and enjoy other things in his life. He will surely be remembered as one of the legends of the sport and if he can knock out the feisty and hard to beat Pac Man no one would question this as a good time to hang up his gloves.
As for Pacquiao he has won world titles in six different weight divisions and only been beaten 5 times since he turned professional at the tender age of sixteen. He has shown himself to be as hard as rock and difficult to put down and between them they have beaten some outstanding boxers like Barrera and De La Hoya to name but two.

With such a big bout I could not resist having a bet on it. Ok Mayweather is a massive favourite for this one and I had to back him to win but how will he do it remains a more difficult question. I have gone for a KO but that is by no means certain. I have also looked at some round KO bets to get decent odds and although I think it will go a fair distance I do not think it will make the 12 rounds.
I have gone for Mayweather in the tenth round by knock out but even if I lose this is a fight i will enjoy regardless of the result.
